Love and Its Modern Perversion

Union of Souls - Max Vakinksy

What is love? Is it a cycle of finding pleasures within another? Could it be the acceptance and enabling of a lover's sin? The re-educator, the one set to perverse God's creation, has us nestled in the stench of sin. We are fed skewed narratives of what love is and how it should feel to us. Charismatically, society has accepted what was once called "lust" and cloaked it under the word "love". Being told that love is sex, if there is pleasure there is love. Constantly bombarded by suggestive content that actively tells us how to react to things, we, under the hot breath of Satan, don't question if that's how we truly feel deep within. The youth of now, the adopted sons and daughters of the father of lies, serpent constricting their hearts, cannot differentiate what is God-given to that, that is, Satan's bastardization. If one has the self-awareness to start the culling of these sin ridden values, they are left with sheer utter emptiness. Spiritually dead, we've lost the warmth we received at birth. It's not until we break free from the addictive agony of Satan's theater that we can start to conceptualize what the true meaning of love is. Love, as St. Paul delivers, "Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." Love is not only a means for pleasure, nor is it something materialistic, it is a commitment between two people to, in a society that encourages prideful individualism, become as one. - Grigori
